The 11th edition of Maroons Night, the annual reunion of past pupils of Ananda College and Nalanda College, was held on Saturday, 14th June 2025, at the Millennium Plaza Downtown Hotel, Sheikh Zayed Road, Trade Centre, Dubai. The event brought together over 400 Sri Lankan professionals currently residing in the UAE, celebrating the enduring friendship and shared values between the alumni of these two leading brother schools.
Ananda College takes great pride in announcing that our Principal participated in the event as one of the Chief Guests, representing the College and strengthening the strong ties between the school and its global community. His presence at this significant occasion was warmly received by the Old Anandians in the UAE and served as a great source of inspiration to all attendees.
The event was further graced by Mr. Alexi Gunasekara, Consul General of Sri Lanka to Dubai and the Northern Emirates, who attended as the Guest of Honour. The evening was marked by camaraderie, school spirit, and cultural pride, reflecting the values that Ananda College continues to uphold.
Maroons Night has become a symbolic celebration of the unbreakable bond between old Anandians and old Nalandians, whose loyalty to their alma maters transcends geographical boundaries. The sense of unity and belonging was deeply felt throughout the evening, with meaningful interactions, speeches, and tributes.

The Principal of Ananda College was hosted at City Seasons Dubai Hotel, Deira, where all travel and accommodation needs were handled with care and respect.
A special souvenir was published to mark the occasion, featuring messages and reflections that celebrate the legacy of the two schools and their contributions to generations of students.
