Seventy-four student leaders from the Primary Section of Ananda College took part in the inspiring “Path to Leadership” program recently. This initiative aimed to nurture leadership qualities and strengthen the skills of young Anandians at an early stage.
The event was organized collaboratively by the school’s Primary Section and the 2004 Old Anandian Group, highlighting the enduring connection between current students and the college’s proud alumni community.
The program was graced by the presence of the chief guest, Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe, Governor of the Central Bank, whose words of guidance motivated the young leaders to embrace responsibility and integrity. Several dignitaries also attended, including three Deputy Directors, the Principal of Ananda College, the Head of the Primary Section, the Teacher in Charge of Student Leaders, the President of the Old Anandian Student Association, and the 2004 Old Anandian President.
The success of the program is attributed to the guidance and vision of the Principal, Mr. D. M. L. P. Dissanayake, whose leadership continues to keep Ananda College on a path of excellence and brilliance.
The engaging program ran from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., featuring activities designed to foster teamwork, decision-making, and effective communication skills among the student leaders. The event marked another successful step in Ananda College’s ongoing mission to cultivate future leaders grounded in values and excellence.
