L. A. Sukith Seniya Liyanaarachchi, a Grade 9‑9 student, helped Western Province dominate the gymnastics competition at the 49th National Sports Festival, held at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium in Colombo from August 1 to 3, 2025. Competing in all six individual events—Floor Exercise, Pommel Horse, Vaulting Table, Roman Rings, Horizontal Bar, and Parallel Bar—Sukith displayed remarkable skill and focus.
His outstanding performances contributed significantly to Western Province clinching the gymnastics championship. Notably, Sukith secured the Bronze Medal in the Parallel Bar event at the National Games and was selected to the Sri Lankan National Gymnastics Pool, a testament to his exceptional talent and discipline.
Organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports in collaboration with the Department of Sports Development, the festival brings together the finest athletes from across the country. Sukith’s accomplishments bring great honor to our school and the province.
