Ananda College Excels in Sports Excellence at the 2025 All-Island Interschools Table Tennis Championship

Ananda College is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its table tennis teams at the 2025 All-Island Interschools Championship held on July 11th and 12th at the Bandaragama Indoor Stadium. The U/18-A team demonstrated remarkable skill and determination, earning a well-deserved 3rd place finish. Their hard work and dedication throughout the season culminated in fierce competition against some of the country’s best young players. Meanwhile, the U/12-A team showcased impressive talent and teamwork, securing 2nd place and making a strong statement about the promising future of table tennis at Ananda College.

These results reflect the college’s commitment to nurturing sports excellence and fostering a spirit of perseverance among its students. The success of both teams is a testament to the tireless efforts of the players and coaches, who have continuously worked to elevate their performance in the face of tough competition. Special thanks are extended to the Master in Charge (MIC), the Prefects of Games (POG), and the dedicated coaches whose guidance was instrumental in these accomplishments. The leadership and encouragement from Principal Mr. D. M. L. P. Dissanayake and Deputy Principal (Sports) also played a vital role in motivating the teams to excel.
